The Denver Broncos D/ST is a consensus top-5 unit and widely viewed as an elite or high-end streaming option depending on your draft strategy. They boast an lite pass rush anchored by edge rushers Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper; the Broncos led the NFL with a staggering 68 sacks last season, making them a consistent source for baseline D/ST points. With perennial All-Pro Patrick Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga, the secondary was tied for fourth in the league by allowing just 309 points all year. The middle of the field is heavily fortified with Alex Singleton and Dre Greenlaw, keeping the run defense stout. While they possess a fearsome pass rush and a shutdown secondary, a brutally tough early-season schedule may cause managers to rotate units early on.
The Houston Texans D/ST remains one of the elite fantasy defenses and is routinely being selected as the first or second unit off the board in fantasy drafts. The Texans finished as the DST2 overall in 2025 and were a top-5 fantasy unit for two consecutive years. Last year they gave up the fewest total yards and second-fewest points in the NFL. Anchored by star defensive end Will Anderson (12 sacks in 2025) and Danielle Hunter, the Texans generated a massive amount of pressure. The defense lost very little personnel in the off-season while adding safety Reed Blankenship and rookie Kayden McDonald to an already loaded unit. Backed by an aggressive pass rush and lock-down coverage, they boast a remarkably high floor and proven game-changing upside.
The Seattle Seahawks D/ST is a highly desirable fantasy unit to target late in drafts. They exhibit elite talent at every level. Led by established stars like Leonard Williams along the defensive line, Ernest Jones IV at linebacker and Devon Witherspoon in the secondary the unit features play-makers across the board. Entering another season under head coach Mike MacDonald, the defense has proven its ability to generate high sack totals and turnovers while limiting opposing offenses. The Seahawks are consistently strong in underlying metrics like pressure rate and efficiency, translating directly to consistent fantasy production week-to-week. They offer an ideal blend of elite pass rushing, play-making secondary talent, and top-tier coaching.
The Philadelphia Eagles remain a reliable and desirable defense for fantasy purposes. The Eagles have ranked in the top 6 in turnover margin since 2024 and remain highly capable of generating explosive defensive plays. The addition of former Seahawks cornerback Riq Woolen boosts secondary depth alongside key returners like Cooper DeJean and free safety Kelee Ringo (who returned from a late-season ankle injury). Backed by an aggressive front seven and a reloaded secondary, this unit carries a solid floor thanks to a high turnover rate and an improved pass rush.
