Dicker, the kicker for the Chargers, is in contention for being a starting Fantasy option right away. He finished 12th among placekickers last season on the strength of making 31 of 33 field goals and owning a 100% rate on 35 extra points. The Bolts figure to be conservative offensively, setting up Dicker for even more opportunities this year. It helps that easier matchups for the offense are at the front of the schedule, making Dicker worthy of a final-round pick.
Ryland struggled in his rookie season, converting on just 16-of-25 field goal attempts. The Patriots invested in Ryland in the offseason after moving on from veteran Nick Folk. Ryland will likely return but could face competition in training camp ahead of the 2024 season.
Carlson will compete for the starting job in Green Bay this season, and he should be considered a No. 2 Fantasy kicker at best in the majority of leagues. Greg Joseph was brought in for competition for Carlson, and we'll see what the Packers decide to do with their starting kicker. As a rookie in 2023, Carlson made 27 of 33 field goals, including 3 of 5 from 50 yards, and 34 of 39 PATs. At best, Carlson should be added off the waiver wire if he starts off the season playing well and is the No. 1 kicker for Green Bay.
If the Saints continue to fit a similar profile to 2023 in the 2024 season with a strong defense and Derek Carr as the starting quarterback, Grupe will once again push to finish inside the top 10 at the kicker position. He is a fine kicker to grab at the end of your drafts to start.
As a rookie he attempted just 25 field goals and averaged under 8.0 Fantasy points per game. Until his field goal opportunities grow larger (which might happen once the 49ers offense slows down), he's not worth drafting.
Aubrey took the Fantasy world by storm in 2023 and is in the conversation to be the top kicker taken on Draft Day. Because he's a kicker, we'd still prefer to wait until the final three rounds before drafting him. Last year Aubrey led the NFL in field goal makes and made first-team All-Pro as a rookie. He also made every kick he attempted beyond 40 yards. He plays on one of the best offenses in the NFL and only seven of his games are truly outdoors in the elements. Justin Tucker is the only kicker we would consider drafting before him.
