Ryland completed 19 of his 23 field goal attempts in 2022, making three of six of 50-plus yards. Ryland also only missed five extra points in five seasons with Maryland. The Patriots clearly prioritized Ryland, trading up in the fourth round to select him.
Moody is the first kicker off the board in the 2023 draft and has quality draft capital behind his selection. With Zane Gonzalez as the only kicker on the roster, Moody has an excellent chance to open the season as the 49ers’ kicker.
